金門是台灣最靠近中國的一個離島，因其地理位置而曾經是國共內戰的前線。 2022年冬天，我第一次踏上金門的土地，並在此居住了兩個月。期間，我發現金門有十多家廢棄的電影戲院。時間在這些懸置的空間裡凝結了，當我踏入空間中時，彷彿被滿載的記憶所淹沒。
《金影島》的書籍設計是奠基於空間的概念，全書一共有五本小書和一張地圖，每本小書都有一座廢棄電影院的圖像，邀請讀者開啓徜徉在這座神奇島嶼上的旅程。
Kinmen is an outlying island of Taiwan that was used to be the front line of the Chinese Civil War because of its location. In the winter of 2022, I visited Kinmen for the first time and lived there for two months. During my immersion in the island, I found out that there are more than 10 abandoned movie the- aters in Kinmen because of the military bases situated there before. Time freezes in these abandoned spaces. I was over- whelmed by the memories of space when I stepped in.
Treasure Island’s book design was based on the concept of spati- ality. There are five little books and one map in Treasure Island, each little book has images of one abandoned movie theater, inviting readers to start their own journey wandering on this magical island.
